How do Hannig's Superintendents/Field Managers excel above others in the construction industry?
Safety Training.
Our field managers are regularly certified in:
IOSHA Fall Protection Standards, OSHA 10-hour Construction Training, Scaffold Safety, Excavation Competent Person Certification, CPR, First Aid, Personal Protective Equipment, Ladder Safety and Hazardous Materials Handling. This training helps make your projects the safest possible, not only for our employees on site, but your employees and the public.
Each week, they meet with their field employees for Weekly Toolbox Talks and discuss the latest safety topics to make sure that all employees are fully aware of any hazards or special areas that need attention on your site.
In 2000, our Field Managers supervised over 83,000 man hours, with only three OSHA recordable injuries and only one lost time accident. As a result of their increased emphasis on safety the last three years, our Worker ís Compensation Experience Modification was reduced to .77- this means our insurance costs are lower, and that savings can be passed on to you in the way of lower construction overhead and costs.
Productivity Training.
Our field managers meet regularly with our project management to review special project details and challenges and are trained in-house in Cost Control, Productivity, and Scheduling. They are trained to look for better, more efficient methods of constructing your projects. This means your projects will be built in the shortest time frame possible while still maintaining the highest quality control standards, and controlling costs.
Areas of Knowledge/Expertise.
All field managers have progressed from apprenticeship training programs to field employees before being given the responsibility of managing your projects. They are trained in construction scheduling, coordinating labor, labor relations, material and equipment handling, quality control, EEO requirements, safety control, field supervision, cost control, subcontractor coordination, prime contractor coordination, and hazardous materials handling.
